Unbelievable is all we could say as we drove home at midnight. All this to say, that with absolute certainty, we 40 something year old women have NEVER been in a situation like this or treated so disrespectfully or rudely by hotel staff, or really anyone. We are collecting our things and leaving. There are four women in here, in our pajamas, you do not need to be in this room. He unlocks the door and tries to shove his way into the room again, but I had the security bolt on. I pushed the door back and locked the security lock on the inside. He then tries to push open the door and force his way into the room. That he needs to contact the police to escort us out as this is a violation of our rights, having done nothing wrong and now being harassed. I let him know that it is NOT us and we are not leaving. I open it and it’s the security guy and now a manager (wearing flip flops-which really speaks to the level of professionalism) letting us know that we need to leave the hotel, we are being kicked out due to a noise complaint. Ten minutes later, a bang at the door again. I hang up in total disbelief and am flabbergasted at the poor handling all the way around. Besides, we are not doing anything wrong. To which I said, is it your policy to come bang at the door and not announce yourself before even the courtesy of a phone call? We didn’t know who this guy was. The rude girl at the front desk said, we had security knock at your door. I was like, what? We are in our pajamas about to fall asleep and watching HGTV. Then a call comes in saying there was a noise complaint against our room. He never announced who he was and we were not about to open the door to some stranger. I looked through the peep hole and some guy wearing a beanie hat looking nervous was on the other side. Laying in bed at 10:00 on a Saturday evening and watching HGTV, we get a banging on our door. My friends and I stayed in for the night as an escape from kids and to reconnect. As in, you can not even change your clothes in the bathroom because there is not enough room to move around. We look forward to seeing you again.I would leave less stars if applicable. What we can change is adding more power outlets, which will do to make guests' stay more practical and comfortable. Because we are on the Register for Historic Landmarks, we cannot augment the bathroom size, but we did maximize the shower size and are sure to provide great pressure with nearly unlimited hot water to provide an invigorating start to the day. Before the 1920's it was typical to have one public bathroom per floor. In fact we were one of the first few hotels in the city to have private bathrooms in each guest room. Being an older building (circa 1925) our bathrooms are smaller. We are adding additional outlets to the rooms with power strips. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy our breakfast - we do offer many selections ranging in price from $6 up to $15. It's great to read you are a big Hotel Indigo fan.
